About the role
Works independently and performs a wide range of medical laboratory tests and procedures to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease
Responsibilities
- Works independently and performs a wide range of medical laboratory tests and procedures
- Ensures patient safety in the preparation and provisioning of care
- Reports safety hazards, accidents and incidents, and unsafe working conditions promptly
- Performs waived, moderate and high complexity testing according to established procedures
- Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with accrediting body and laboratory policy
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher required
- Clinical Lab Scientist Certificate within 12 months of hire from National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel
- Medical Technologist Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Society for Clinical Pathologists
- Medical Lab Technician ASCP Certification within 12 months of hire from American Society for Clinical Pathologists
