DSHS FTAA Maintenance Mechanic

We're seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance, repair, remodeling, and construction duties, utilizing a working knowledge of several related skill fields, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, welding, painting, and machinist work.

• Performs semi-skilled and sub-journey work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, alterations, and construction of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment.
• Maintains, repairs, and performs small modifications to building-installed plumbing to include, but not limited to water fountains, sinks, faucets, water heaters, toilets, irrigation, floor drains, and associated pumping equipment.
• Maintains and repairs low-voltage-building associated electrical equipment, and mechanical fixtures on all equipment within the facilities including, but not limited to air conditioning and heating (HVAC), laundry, lighting, kitchen, maintenance, grounds, security equipment, and all other program-associated equipment, except medical.

• High school graduation or possession of a GED certificate
• Two years of experience as a maintenance worker in building and equipment maintenance, construction, and/or repair/work
