Paraeducator

Support student learning and development in a K-12 school environment as a dedicated paraprofessional in Naperville, IL. This contract position offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and administrators, contributing to a supportive and inclusive educational setting. The role focuses on assisting with instructional activities, behavioral support, and personal care for students with diverse needs throughout the contract school year.

• Assist teachers in delivering classroom instruction and engaging activities
• Provide individualized or small-group support to students as assigned
• Support students’ behavioral and social-emotional needs to promote positive interactions
• Aid with daily living skills and mobility assistance when necessary
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communicate effectively with supervising staff
• Help create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive learning atmosphere

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Illinois ISBE Para Educator License, or commitment to obtain prior to starting
• Experience working in a school, childcare, or related educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
• Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and genuine passion for supporting children’s growth
