About the role
Food Service Worker, On-Call at Washington Soldiers Home
Responsibilities
- Ensure residents are given nutritional meals, snacks and supplements
- Safely prepare food and monitor storage methods, food production and holding temperatures
- Perform simple cooking
- Monitor refrigeration units for outdated products
- Set up and serve food orders
- Refill condiments and napkins
- Set up and monitor salad bar
- Clean and sanitize equipment and area
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
- Possession of, or the ability to obtain a Washington state food worker card
- Must be proficient in the English language
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- One (1) year of experience in a food establishment
- Must be able to pass a DSHS BCCU Background Check
- Must comply with annual Tuberculin Screening
- Requires medical evaluation, fit testing, training, and use of respiratory protection
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance
