Software Engineer - I (COBOL, CA Gen, Endevor, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ Series)

Travelers is seeking a Software Engineer I to join our organization as we grow and transform our Technology landscape

• Perform analysis, design, development, and configuration functions
• Participate with team to perform analysis, assessment and resolution for defects and incidents
• Work within guidelines set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems
• Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Three years of programming/development experience
• Expertise in CA Gen and COBOL for application development
• Extensive experience with DB2, including its concepts such as binds and indexes and utilities
• Basic understanding of IMS and Oracle databases
• Proficient in SQL for database management and manipulation
• Working knowledge of CICS, IBM MQs and RACF for security management
• Experience with Jira, SailPoint, and ServiceNow
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Delivery – Intermediate delivery skills
• Domain Expertise – Demonstrated track record of domain expertise
