About the role

The Fiscal Analyst 4 (FA4) serves as a first-line Regional Fiduciary Supervisor and exercises independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations to disburse, reimburse, recoup and resolve fiscal problems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) RCW, WAC, and DCYF policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise fiscal staff in assuring payment integrity is maintained
  • Train and develop professional subordinates in fiscal matters and procedures
  • Provide technical support and training to field fiscal staff for accounting-related activity and financial systems
  • Exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying rules and regulations
  • Assure compliance with fiscal policies and procedures for the Region
  • Respond to audit reports and initiate corrective action to meet discrepancies or noncompliance cited by auditors
  • Provide ongoing fiscal consultation and training to all levels of staff and to providers and contractors
  • Act as the financial liaison between the Regional Office and HQs staff in the development and application of Famlink and SSPS

Requirements

  • Equivalent education/experience totaling six (6) years
  • Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of relevant professional experience
