DSHS SCC Residential Rehabilitation Counselor

We are seeking a highly adaptable and self-motivated professional to join our team at the King County Secure Community Transition Facility located in Seattle’s SODO business district.

• Provide day-to-day supervision and monitoring of residents
• Create opportunities for social and therapeutic engagement in individual and group settings
• Assist and encourage residents in completing essential life skills
• Escort residents to and from community outings/appointments
• Maintain a safe and secure living environment
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Develop accurate and detailed written documentation and reports

• High school graduation or GED, and one year of experience providing direct care in a residential or in-patient behavioral health setting
• College-level coursework will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
