About the role
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) is a critical TechOps role at Delta. In this role, you will maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta's fleet, ensuring customers have an exceptional travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the proper and safe functioning of Delta's fleet
- Ensure customers have an exceptional travel experience
- Perform inspections during assembly of parts and after repair or installation of components
- Document maintenance procedures
- Inspect aircraft or aircraft components for damage, defects, corrosion, or other wear
- Recommend replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment
- Report issues, malfunctions, unusual wear, or damage to appropriate personnel
- Install, remove, or modify aircraft structures, systems, or components
- Repair worn, defective, or damaged parts or components
- Interpret discrepancies or logs to understand history and nature of issue
- Research, read, and interpret technical manuals and guidelines
- Review maintenance records to determine if service and maintenance checks, repairs, and overhauls were performed at prescribed intervals
- Maintain repair logs
- Serves as a technical expert or mentor by providing advice and corrective recommendations to others
- Uses computers, computer systems, and other technology to enter, document, access, receive, or communicate information
- Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures
Requirements
- Must have an FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- At least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- Must have valid driver's license
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
