Responsibilities

  • Execute full sales cycle including qualifying, negotiating, and implementing new contracts to grow market share
  • Build and executes a strategic territory plan in order to optimize revenue growth opportunities and minimize revenue risk
  • Build and present a compelling story to C-suite level stakeholders in order to position Southwest Airlines as a preferred partner to optimize market share
  • Align contracts terms and solutions to the goals and priorities of the Customer
  • Implement traveler engagements that drives action that supports the goals on the contract and partnership
  • Analyze customer or third party travel data and works collaboratively with the Mid Market Sales Team and Sales Performance & Insights Team to align the right solutions with each account to drive incremental sales
  • Consult with Customers and Presents self-formulated recommendations for complex problems to solve complex problems within a travel program
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews to keep Customers accountable to terms and create forward looking action plans
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support
  • Drive revenue growth, contract compliance, and loyalty engagement through customized strategic campaigns during contract term in collaboration with Team
  • Represent Southwest Airlines and Southwest business at industry events and presents to large audiences
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee’s Leaders

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable on the airline industry and competition, specifically regarding corporate travel options for mid-size accounts
  • Knowledge of sale cycle and selling techniques
  • Skilled in communication both verbal and written
  • Skilled in sales positioning and negotiation techniques
  • Skilled in Microsoft excel
  • Ability to recognize value-creating opportunities through effective account qualification and discovery
  • Ability to identify a Customer's objectives and align solutions to overcome barriers and drive sales
  • Ability to presenting to large audiences including C-suite
  • Ability to confidently represent Southwest and the Team in cross functional internal and external projects and meetings
  • Ability to prioritize manage an account portfolio and handle multiple situations simultaneously
