Benefits Expense Controller

Reporting to AIG’s Americas Controller, the Benefits Expense Controller will be primarily responsible for leading end-to-end accounting operations and associated internal/external reporting for AIG

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management and stakeholders
• Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations
• Supervise all ongoing controllership activities of direct reports
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial processes and systems
• Monitor financial activities for compliance with laws and regulations
• Identify and mitigate financial risks
• Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by executive team

• Knowledge of relevant US GAAP
• Hands on experience with closing and reporting of public company financials
• Leadership and ability to efficiently engage various levels of available resources
• Ability to understand groupwide context of segment results
• Capability to lead a team in a dynamic and transformational environment
