Registered Nurse RN Inpatient Unit

The Registered Nurse Inpatient unit provides skilled professional nursing care and support to hospice patients and families, including non-related caregivers, as ordered by the physician and in compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include implementing patient care plans, assessing needs, educating patients, delivering critical care, managing end-of-life issues, administering medications, and maintaining documentation. Minimum qualifications require an Associate's of Nursing, active BLS, and Florida licensure. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and one year of acute or hospice care experience.

• Provides skilled professional nursing care and support to hospice patients and families, including non-related caregivers
• Works as part of the interdisciplinary team to provide medical nursing care and alleviate suffering
• Implements the patient's plan of care in collaboration with other team members
• Assesses and reassesses patient needs regularly
• Educates patients and families on plan of care and changes
• Delivers critical nursing care to patients with complex health issues
• Manages end-of-life care issues with sensitivity and professionalism
• Administers and manages medications accurately and safely
• Maintains accurate and thorough documentation per Medicare guidelines

• Associate's of Nursing
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Registered Nurse status
• State Licensure or Compact State Licensure in Florida
• Bachelor's of Nursing (preferred)
• 1 year acute or hospice care experience (preferred)
