Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative supervision to GPU social workers
- Plan, organize, and direct social work programs on GPU
- Monitor and manage social work practicum student placements on GPU
- Serve as the ESH GPU central contact for coordination of resources related to community placement
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of supervised, post-Master's Degree experience working as a Social Worker
- Experience in the provision of direct therapeutic intervention to individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness/co-occurring disorder diagnosis
- Experience should also have included working within an interdisciplinary treatment team framework
- Knowledge regarding psychotropic medications
- One year experience in supervising clinical staff
- In-depth working knowledge of group behavior and dynamics
- Experience in intervening and de-escalating crisis/dangerous situations
- Knowledge of all hospital, state, and federal regulatory standards, policies and procedures
