About the role
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a K-12 school located in Deville, LA. This contract position spans the entire school year and requires onsite presence to deliver direct services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Responsibilities
- Administer assessments, develop individualized treatment plans and provide therapy services to students for speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Deliver services following best practices within a school environment, with flexibility to incorporate teletherapy as needed
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working within healthcare and pediatric settings
- Background in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to provide teletherapy services considered a plus
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing speech and language interventions for a diverse student population
