Position: Special Education Teacher K-4 Hours: Full time Location: Position is near Melrose East Windsor , Connecticut School Year: 2025/2026 Pay Range: Contractors are compensated weekly at an hourly rate, with pay ranges determined by state, location, and experience/education. Hourly compensation for our Special Education Teachers ranges from $30 to $50 an hour.
Responsibilities: Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs in a resource/inclusion classroom Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for each student Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure effective support for students Track and assess student progress, adjusting strategies as needed Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment Communicate regularly with parents, staff, and administration about student progress
Qualifications: Valid Connecticut Special Education certification Knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills Reliable Transportation
