About the role

A licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract opportunity beginning in April to provide maternity leave coverage. This role involves evaluating patients and delivering therapy for communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in various care settings including outpatient, inpatient, and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU).

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Implement therapeutic interventions targeting communication and swallowing disorders
  • Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with facility standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
  • Educate patients and families to promote functional independence

Requirements

  • Valid Idaho SLP license (required upon application)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be current and attached with submission)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an SLP in a rehab or ARU setting
  • Experience working with outpatient and inpatient populations, as well as ARU
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
