About the role
A licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract opportunity beginning in April to provide maternity leave coverage. This role involves evaluating patients and delivering therapy for communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in various care settings including outpatient, inpatient, and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU).
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions targeting communication and swallowing disorders
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in compliance with facility standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
- Educate patients and families to promote functional independence
Requirements
- Valid Idaho SLP license (required upon application)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (must be current and attached with submission)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an SLP in a rehab or ARU setting
- Experience working with outpatient and inpatient populations, as well as ARU
- Strong documentation and communication skills
