About the role
RN Telemetry at Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center
Responsibilities
- Track routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse ox levels
- Quickly report and address any changes in condition
- Patiently and thoroughly explain test results and procedures to patients and family members
- Educate patients on post-hospital care including prescribed medicine, care maintenance, and prevention
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of 6 months of prior acute care experience in same unit
- Current California license as a Registered Nurse
- AHA BCLS/ACLS basic EKG certification prior to start
- Experience with Meditech preferred
- Excellent communication and patient skills required
- CT STROKE (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire
