About the role
We are one of the most public-facing state agencies and the second-largest revenue-generating agency in Washington State. We regularly interact with over 6 million Washington residents and collect nearly $3 billion in taxes and fees annually.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the most experienced Application Developer within the BETS team
- Provide high-level technical skills for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide application solutions
- Design, implement, and support database and data management solutions
- Conduct research and analysis, and utilize troubleshooting skills to resolve problems
- Direct testing and quality assurance
- Manage and assign system implementations
- Directly supervise IT app development supervisors and IT app development staff
Requirements
- Eleven (11) years of professional experience in the software development field
- Using MS-Visual Studio Development tools to maintain and develop agency or corporate level systems
- Designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining Salesforce, C#, VB.Net, .NET Frameworks, using tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS) or other source control Tools
- Using HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, and supporting libraries such as jQuery, etc., or like programming technologies, and the ability to provide solutions using these technologies
- Developing and testing MS-SQL 2016 Transact-SQL statements
- Managing/configuring Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Experience working with relational databases
- Interpreting user requirements and software design documentation to be used for software development
