Med-Surg Nurse (RN) - San Mateo, CA

A skilled RN with a Master’s in Nursing is needed for a contract role providing specialized care on the Orthopedics unit (5th Floor South) in a leading acute care hospital setting, located in San Mateo, CA.

• Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate individualized nursing care for orthopedic patients
• Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and continuity of care
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare teams, and support staff
• Provide compassionate, holistic care adhering to best practices and regulatory standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality and documentation accuracy in the electronic health record
• Float between units including rehab campuses with advance notice and shuttle transportation available
• Mentor and orient newly hired staff as requested

• Valid California RN License
• BLS Certification
• Experience in Orthopedic Nursing preferred
