Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing services including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions relating to medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
- Perform initial medical screening for youth at intake; implement infection control, Vaccine for Children VFC, and employee health and wellness programs.
- Educate and counsel youth, families, and staff regarding medical and mental health care.
- Provide pre and post-HIV test counseling including STI and Making Proud Choices curriculum and prenatal education.
- Provide medical case management for youth with chronic or acute conditions; communicate with and instruct non-medical agency staff on treatment and care of youth.
- Prepare and file medical documents; schedule appointments; perform basic data entry and retrieval functions using an electronic management information system.
- Perform medical and psychiatric case management.
- Administer Medications.
- Provide first aid and first response emergency medical services for youth, visitors, and other employees.
Requirements
- Professionals who hold a valid Washington State license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, AND one year of professional nursing experience.
