Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing services including assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and interventions relating to medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
  • Perform initial medical screening for youth at intake; implement infection control, Vaccine for Children VFC, and employee health and wellness programs.
  • Educate and counsel youth, families, and staff regarding medical and mental health care.
  • Provide pre and post-HIV test counseling including STI and Making Proud Choices curriculum and prenatal education.
  • Provide medical case management for youth with chronic or acute conditions; communicate with and instruct non-medical agency staff on treatment and care of youth.
  • Prepare and file medical documents; schedule appointments; perform basic data entry and retrieval functions using an electronic management information system.
  • Perform medical and psychiatric case management.
  • Administer Medications.
  • Provide first aid and first response emergency medical services for youth, visitors, and other employees.

Requirements

  • Professionals who hold a valid Washington State license to practice as a registered professional nurse.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing, AND one year of professional nursing experience.
