About the role
Provide expert postoperative nursing care in a dynamic Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) setting, focusing on the immediate recovery period following surgery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to post-surgical patients in the immediate postoperative phase
- Apply nursing processes and medical therapeutics tailored to individual patient needs
- Monitor patients closely for any complications or adverse reactions post-anesthesia
- Utilize advanced technological equipment for patient monitoring and interventions
- Collaborate effectively with surgical teams and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in compliance with healthcare standards
Requirements
- California Registered Nurse (CA RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in PACU or acute care settings
