About the role
The Computer Vision and Inertial Sensing Engineer will create computer vision algorithms and deliver technologies with applications to augmented reality and device localization that are impactful, meaningful, and influential
Responsibilities
- Create computer vision algorithms and deliver technologies with applications to augmented reality and device localization
- Collaborate closely with experts from a wide range of backgrounds
- Support low-level, cross-platform efforts
- Participate in code reviews
- Advocate for high-quality results within the team
Requirements
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
- Strong software engineering skills and programming in C++
- Familiarity with classical and machine learning-based computer vision
- Preferred MS or PhD in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, or related fields
- Excellent background in visual/inertial sensing and localization/mapping (SLAM)
- Solid foundation in 3D geometric computer vision
- Strong programming and system building skills
- Experience in developing, training, and tuning domain-specific ML models related to computer vision
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
- Excellent communication and experience working with multi-functional teams
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new things to improve the quality of solutions
- Ability to make well-informed and practical decisions in a rapidly evolving environment
- Self-motivated with a proven track record of prioritizing and delivering tasks on schedule
