About the role

The Behavior Specialist will work closely with students and school staff to develop effective behavior plans, implement positive strategies, and create a safe, supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess student needs and design individualized behavior intervention plans
  • Provide direct support to students in classrooms and small group settings
  • Partner with teachers to promote positive behavioral strategies
  • Track data to measure progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Communicate regularly with families and school teams about progress and strategies
  • Ensure compliance with state and district policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field
  • Previous experience supporting students with behavioral needs
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Compassion, patience, and problem-solving abilities
