About the role
The Behavior Specialist will work closely with students and school staff to develop effective behavior plans, implement positive strategies, and create a safe, supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess student needs and design individualized behavior intervention plans
- Provide direct support to students in classrooms and small group settings
- Partner with teachers to promote positive behavioral strategies
- Track data to measure progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Communicate regularly with families and school teams about progress and strategies
- Ensure compliance with state and district policies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Behavioral Science, or related field
- Previous experience supporting students with behavioral needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassion, patience, and problem-solving abilities
