About the role
Join us as an Actuarial Analyst in our Global Pricing team within Actuarial to take your career to the next level with an international market leader.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with broader Global Pricing team to implement strategic initiatives, such as reporting, based on defined requirements and standardised definitions.
- Help establish Global Pricing as a central hub, supporting key business areas.
- Support with prioritised strategic initiatives including the wider roll out of MI for Actuarial Pricing, standardisation of modelling processes and rater delivery onto strategic platforms.
- Prepare materials to communicate key messages to senior committees.
- Work with product actuaries to sunset existing local reports with strategic solutions.
- Support Global pricing strategic leads with ad-hoc initiatives.
- Liaise with Actuarial champions to help design and enhance reporting, modelling, and raters.
- Work effectively as part of a team to achieve financial, strategic, and operational objectives.
- Assist in the development and review of new and updated raters.
- Support Actuaries in the development of technical pricing models used to parameterise raters, using strategic tools and processes.
- Support and liaise with the data team to increase data coverage and accuracy.
- Perform data manipulations and work with the data team to drive process improvements.
- Support development of portfolio-level reporting and ensuring adoption of pricing standards.
- Assist in BAU activities including QA and production environments.
Requirements
- BSc in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.
- 2+ years of actuarial or data science experience within General Insurance
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Coding experience in Python, R, VBA or other programming languages
- Good understanding of visual data / dashboards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
