Responsibilities

  • Operate washing machines, dryers, marking machines, and presses.
  • Weigh, shake, and sort out all soiled linen daily.
  • Clean and disinfect laundry carts daily.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Report problems or malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor.
  • Dry, hang, fold, and sort personal clothing for final distribution for designated areas.
  • Collect, wash, dry, and deliver various materials to ancillary departments.
  • Work with and help train new staff in operating laundry equipment and performing routine laundry tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to: Make basic math calculations/ Follow safety policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Must: Be proficient in the English language and be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Successfully complete training in laundry operations within six months of employment.
