Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines, dryers, marking machines, and presses.
- Weigh, shake, and sort out all soiled linen daily.
- Clean and disinfect laundry carts daily.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report problems or malfunctions of laundry equipment to supervisor.
- Dry, hang, fold, and sort personal clothing for final distribution for designated areas.
- Collect, wash, dry, and deliver various materials to ancillary departments.
- Work with and help train new staff in operating laundry equipment and performing routine laundry tasks.
Requirements
- Ability to: Make basic math calculations/ Follow safety policies, procedures, and practices.
- Must: Be proficient in the English language and be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Successfully complete training in laundry operations within six months of employment.
