School Behavior Specialist

A K-12 school in Benton, LA is seeking a skilled Behavior Specialist with BCBA certification to support students' behavioral development throughout the current school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work closely with educators and families in a dynamic school environment dedicated to fostering student success.

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to implement behavioral strategies and monitor progress
• Provide direct support and consultation to students exhibiting challenging behaviors
• Offer training and guidance on evidence-based behavioral techniques to school personnel and families
• Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform decision-making and adjust interventions as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute behavioral expertise

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential required
• Experience working with school-aged children in K-12 settings
• Strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and best practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Familiarity with IDEA regulations and special education processes is preferred
