About the role
Manage operational and maintenance personnel, activities, and budgets within the six central chiller plants, two hot water boiler plants, the Technical Services Operations Center (TSOC), and distributed assets across multiple locations and parks. Direct asset responsibilities include, but not limited to, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, primary/secondary/booster pumps, heat exchangers, filtration system, chemical systems, and data center air-cooled chillers. Responsibilities include all labor and non-labor resources to maintain superior reliability and availability to critical equipment. TSCO responsibilities require the oversight of System Operators monitoring all Facility Services assets for abnormal operations through integrated data systems. Support initiatives to continuously improve guest and employee safety and experiences.
Responsibilities
- Manages all aspects of the operations and maintenance programs within area of responsibility, including planned, quick call, discretionary, and emergency repair work, as well as comprehensive asset life-cycle management
- Develops and refines maintenance standards and maintains all OSHA and Universal Quality Standards
- Plans, prepares, and manages assigned capital and expense budgets
- Secure reliable and cost-effective contracted services via scope development, competitive bidding, and contract oversight
- Establish and maintain relationships across departments to ensure highest standards of guest experience and operational readiness
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities
Requirements
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in management or technical discipline preferred
- 7+ years’ experience of operational and maintenance management of campus style cooling and heating loops
- 5+ years of extensive experience in operational and maintenance management of a Theme Park or other relevant experience is required with 5+ years of direct supervisory responsibilities
