About the role
The Co-op will support the following teams: Cargo Safety, Cargo Compliance (Regulatory), Cargo Compliance (Security), Cargo Policy & Procedure, and Pharmaceuticals. The Co-op will be required to complete three alternating semesters rotations must be completed before the student's graduation.
Responsibilities
- Support the Cargo Safety, Security, & Compliance team with ongoing development of enhancements and improvements
- Propose ideas for continuous improvement in processing and tracking effectiveness
- Implementing project management skills and practices
- Record results in a database and develop metrics to analyze performance
- Measuring and analyzing current performance
- Work across business units with various stakeholders in a professional setting
- Provide process engineering and/or internal consulting services
- Participate in data collection efforts for projects that impact cross-functional departments
- Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance
- Recommend ideas for new ways to provide optimal (internal and external) customer service and evaluate safety/compliance impact of proposed operational changes
Requirements
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution
- Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office on a full-time basis as an undergraduate student during the following 3 alternating semesters
- Must have a detail-oriented, adaptable, and collaborative approach & spirit
- Must demonstrate the ability to work on multiple assignments with strict deadlines and function effectively under pressure
- Must have strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment
- Must have strong organizational, problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication skills
- Must have excellent attention to detail and exercise confidentiality of protected information
- Must be open-minded and willing & able to learn new skills
- Must be able to work in a time sensitive environment, be a self-starter and highly motivated
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Must have general administrative skills
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0-point scale
- Must consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
- Must be able to work onsite in our Atlanta, GA office for the duration of the co-op rotations
