Patient Care Assistant at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs

• Check-in with the outgoing patient care techs at the beginning of your shift to get a report on your patients.
• Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed.
• Assist patients with ambulating as necessary.
• Assist patients with hygiene needs.
• Help the nurse with tube insertions such as an NG tube, rectal tube, or catheter.
• Change bed linens, check patients’ weight, other tasks as assigned each day.

• High school diploma or GED Required
• Certified Nursing Assistant for State of Arkansas or EMT, or
• Completion of “Fundamentals of Nursing” in an accredited RN or LPN Nursing Program, or
• Minimum of 6 months of direct patient care in an acute care environment within the last 24 months, or
• Successful completion of a PCT Training Course, offered quarterly at CHI St Vincent
