This opportunity is only open to Department of Revenue employees. The Compliance Division's Out of State and Multi-tax teams are looking to fill two Revenue Agent 3 (RA3) positions. The Lead Revenue Agent position is the designated lead worker and trainer for lower-level Revenue Agents, providing leadership to the team in the absence of the supervisor. The Technical Specialist's primary focus is the division’s priority to achieve its fiscal year cash commitment through independently collecting high-dollar, complex, time-consuming, possibly sensitive accounts, requiring in-depth investigation and advanced techniques in judgment enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Identify, investigate, and recover taxes that were previously unknown to the department.
- Review case work of all staff and make recommendations for action.
- Train and lead new and journey-level agents in mainstream programs.
- Work complex delinquent accounts that commonly involve taxpayers who are reluctant to furnish information and may conceal or undervalue assets, income, and tax liabilities.
