JOB DESCRIPTION Details Sign-on bonus: Up to $7,500.00 Department: Respiratory Care Schedule: Full Time, 36 hours weekly, 12 hour Day shifts 7am – 7pm, rotating weekends and holidays Hospital: Ascension Via Christi St Francis Hospital Location: Wichita, Kansas Via Christi associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through our academic partnership with Wichita State University. • Provide evaluation of and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies
• Assess patients for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develop a plan of care based on diagnosis
• Implement and monitor patient care plan and equipment
• Monitor, record and communicate patients condition
• Perform advanced respiratory care modalities
• Evaluate respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome
• Educate the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs
• Respond to emergency resuscitation team code
