School Occupational Therapist

A full-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in an elementary school setting in Elgin, IL, with a contract through the current school year until Thanksgiving Break. This role is focused on supporting students’ participation in classroom activities by addressing fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and self-care abilities. Key responsibilities include modifying tasks and environments to meet student needs, conducting diagnostic and evaluation testing, and delivering clear, comprehensive reports based on assessments and observations. The therapist will also develop and maintain IEP objectives or accommodations and collaborate effectively with parents and colleagues to monitor developmental progress and identify areas requiring additional support. Qualifications for this position require holding, or being qualified to hold, an Illinois state OT license. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and be adaptable with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
