Senior Executive Underwriter, Cyber & Professional Liability

• Underwriting a diverse and complex book of cyber & professional liability, including both renewals and new business opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategies to drive profitable growth and expand market presence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and insureds, including delivering high-impact presentations and representing the company in client meetings.
• Provide leadership within the team by mentoring and coaching junior underwriters, sharing expertise, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Drive process improvements, challenge existing practices, and collaborate on ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness on systems, guidelines, training, reports, new project requests, product amendments etc.
• Identify the need for and manage special underwriting projects as needed.
• Achieve and exceed budget targets while maintaining profitability and underwriting integrity.
• Keep abreast of developments in assigned territories to determine their effect on current accounts and potential new business opportunities.

• Minimum 7 years of Financial Lines experience managing a large and diverse book of business from multiple brokers
• Risk analysis and technical skills
• Post-Secondary Education OR equivalent industry education and experience
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently to meet deadlines following company guidelines as well as in a team-oriented approach to accomplish goals
• Organized, highly motivated, self-starter who takes responsibility for own performance and demonstrates leadership in their approach to work, training and knowledge seeking.
• Strong analysis and decision-making skills
