Occupational Therapist School Setting in Algonac, MI

A part-time occupational therapist opportunity is available for the remainder of the current school year at an elementary school located in Algonac, MI. This contract position offers flexible hours between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with a weekly commitment of 12-20 hours.

• Delivering individualized occupational therapy sessions focused on fine motor skills such as handwriting, scissor use, and feeding.
• Managing a caseload of 15-20 students requiring 15 to 30-minute therapy sessions, scheduled 1-4 times monthly.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments and writing detailed reports to track student progress.
• Collaborating with educational teams by attending Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to goal development.

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with experience in school-based settings.
• Skilled in addressing sensory integration challenges and fine motor skill development.
• Ability to complete evaluations, prepare documentation, and participate effectively in cross-disciplinary meetings.
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate variable therapy days within the school week.
