About the role
A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support to students in an elementary and PreK setting within a K-12 school environment. This contract position begins ASAP and is expected to last for 3-4 weeks. The role involves working with approximately 20 children, delivering tailored therapy services to support their individual developmental needs. The schedule is approximately 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to elementary and pre-kindergarten students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student outcomes
- Utilize evidence-based practices to enhance occupational performance in educational settings
Requirements
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant state certification
- Experience working in school-based settings, particularly with early childhood and elementary students
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of child development and school therapy best practices
- Ability to manage caseload efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
