About the role
The high end of the salary range, Step M is typically a longevity step. The hours for this position are Wednesday - Saturday 6:00am - 4:00pm. As a Stationary Engineer 2, you'll perform skilled engineering and repair work related to boiler and HVAC operations. You will be responsible for overall safe and efficient operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam plant, consisting of two high-pressure boilers to supply steam to the SCC facility and one boiler at the Fire Station/Warehouse.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled engineering and repair work related to boiler and HVAC operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Monitor system performance
- Troubleshoot issues promptly
Requirements
- Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary (or marine) high-pressure boilers and heating systems
- Certificate of completion of an advanced Stationary Engineer course from an accredited vocational/technical school or community college
- Two years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary (or marine) high-pressure boilers and heating systems
- One year of State service as a Stationary Engineer 1
