About the role
This position offers real-world exposure to FAA regulatory compliance, operations, and quality control of high-fidelity flight simulator training devices.
Responsibilities
- Reports to Delta’s Manager of Simulator Qualifications.
- Supports FAA’s initial and requalification evaluation events, and Delta’s internal evaluation events of flight simulator training devices.
- Collaborates with Simulator Engineering and Simulator Maintenance teams in review of simulator qualification discrepancies and fidelity issues.
- Supports simulator qualification and technical documentation records retention process.
- Practices safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Working as a Co-op does not guarantee a full-time opportunity upon graduation.
- This position requires you to work for 3 alternating semesters.
- Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the below schedule:
- Spring 2026 - 1st rotation
- Fall 2026 - 2nd rotation
- Summer 2027 - 3rd rotation
- Working toward a bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aeronautical science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze technical data and documentation.
- Demonstrated organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated, fast-paced technical environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat for communication, document management, and regulatory recordkeeping.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
