Claims Examiner - Federal Workers Compensation

• Provide technical expertise in directing and resolving Federal Workers’ Compensation claims
• Utilize investigation, claim handling, litigation, and negotiation skills to ensure timely cost-effective claim settlements and file closure
• Provide prompt effective customer service to differentiate AIG from our competitors
• Manage indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims using available resources
• Gather documentation and make a timely recovery submission to DFEC in a complete and efficient manner

• 2 + years’ experience handling workers’ compensation claims
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
• Ability to make independent decisions within prescribed autonomy limit
• Strong (oral/written) communication and interpersonal skills
