About the role

Delta’s Customer Data team is seeking a Customer Data Solutions Lead to help shape the future of how we deliver personalized experiences at scale.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for IT teams
  • Coordinate delivery timelines and ensure alignment across IT, DPO, and business teams
  • Prototype new core, foundational data sources and help build cases to facilitate IT-productization of those data sources
  • Own the end-to-end delivery process, including UAT and stakeholder sign-off
  • Triage product defects and support IT in resolution and prioritization
  • Shape the roadmap for customer data capabilities in partnership with product manager
  • Ensure data products are scalable, reliable, and aligned with enterprise architecture
  • Work closely with IT to find opportunities to improve the current data environment to drive efficiencies and future scalability in both traditional EDW environments as well as AWS cloud environments
  • Support the creation of enterprise-wide, customer-centric data assets
  • Advocate for data quality, consistency, and usability across channels

Requirements

  • Able to understand business needs and bridge the gap between those needs and IT
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for solving complex data problems
  • Understanding of how Delta uses data to drive business decisions, for analytics, and within visualization tools
  • Proficiency in data querying/modeling and able to write SQL queries from scratch and experience with a scripting language
  • Able to build good interpersonal relationships with business partners, business analysts, technology teams, and leadership
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups in a time sensitive and team environment with minimal direction
  • Be results oriented and capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines with attention to detail and follow through
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States
