About the role
Provides advanced administrative and computer support to Director and/or Assistant Director and their departments.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and follow-up on action items for new and/or routine projects, processes, and/or policies.
- Coordinates with other departments and/or external sources.
- Generates department correspondence and/or reports.
- Uses appropriate computer programs to analyze, compile, update and maintain department correspondence and/or reports.
- Disseminates data/information to the appropriate parties.
- Prepares expense reports.
- May create presentations and/or corresponding materials.
- Screens/prioritizes/directs incoming calls and mail/correspondence, taking appropriate actions as necessary.
- May maintain executive(s)’ and corresponding department’s calendars, coordinate meetings, and/or set appointments.
- Makes travel and/or training arrangements when necessary.
- Provides administrative support, direction, guidance, and/or training to department.
- Serves as a liaison with other departments in acquiring and maintaining technology, supplies, onboarding, workspace coordination, sourcing and other logistical needs through standard UO/UPR procedures.
Requirements
- High school degree or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of administrative assistant experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
