Join the Home and Community Living Administration (HCLA) in Lacey, WA and help shape the future of long-term services and supports for Washington’s most vulnerable residents.

HCLA is a newly formed administration within the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), bringing together the Developmental Disabilities Administration and the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration. This unified team is responsible for overseeing Washington State’s system of long-term care, serving individuals with disabilities and older adults through home and community-based services, protective oversight, regulatory compliance, and case management.

The team is currently seeking a motivated QA Consultant who practices cultural humility to join our team. The ideal applicant will have an eye for detail, experience with QA practices, and excellent interpersonal communication skills coupled with a compassion for supporting aging adults.

Please note that this position is fully remote, with the occasional in-person meeting and is a Monday - Friday work schedule.

Some of what you’ll do

•Complete QA process reviews of WCF activities statewide in compliance with policy, WAC and RCW. •Use a variety of methods to determine case accuracy, evaluating the effectiveness of the system to minimize risk. •Provide professional consultation to promote excellence in service delivery. •Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements and consistency in policy interpretation. •Lead your QA team during process review cycles, including acting as a liaison between QA and field staff, fostering relationships with our customers, and ensuring the review is accurately and thoroughly completed.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of QA practices
  • Experience with long-term care services

  • Communication – You explain things clearly, both in writing and when speaking, so everyone from clients to colleagues understands you
  • Collaboration – You work well with others and maintain a professional, respectful tone with both the public and your teammates
