Deputy State Fire Marshal 2 - Instruction (North Bend)

The Deputy State Fire Marshal 2 for the Fire Training Academy is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, managing the delivery of classroom and practical firefighting training in accordance with established lesson plans, ensuring adherence to current standards and requirements.

• Develop and implement curriculum, manage delivery of classroom and practical firefighting training
• Ensure adherence to current standards and requirements
• Follow and enforce all safety regulations and policies
• Work with staff and contract instructors to implement, instruct, and schedule training
• Work with maintenance staff to ensure safe operation of all props

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid, unrestricted Washington State Driver's License or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
• Three years of paid, volunteer, or fire service related experience or a combination to total three years of experience or five years of related experience scheduling, registering, and managing training needs in a relatable field
