Special Education Teacher

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in Aurora, IL. This contract position spans the full school year, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact on the academic and social development of students with special needs.

• Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique learning requirements.
• Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive classroom environments.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.
• Maintaining detailed records of student performance and communication with all stakeholders.
• Providing a supportive and encouraging atmosphere fostering students’ independence and confidence.

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience working with middle school-aged children in a special education setting.
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
