The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination of the patient’s experience and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.

• The RN directs high quality and patient focused care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.
• Preferred: BSN
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• For Telemetry and higher acuity units: ACLS (AHA) and Basic EKG interpretation are also required.
