About the role

The Juvenile Rehabilitation Officer 2 (JRO2) provides security and safety services for residents, staff, and visitors in our juvenile rehabilitation residential facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist counselors on the floor
  • Be a positive role model to our youth residents
  • Intervene when conflicts arise
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for our youth
  • Learn about the Juvenile Rehabilitation philosophy and treatment model
  • Support rehabilitative programming for our youth

Requirements

  • One (1) year of relevant experience (full-time equivalency) in counseling, criminal justice, juvenile justice, education, psychology, sociology, behavioral health, social service, security, law enforcement, or military
  • Two years of college
  • One year as a Juvenile Rehabilitation Officer 1
