This position entails analytical testing of blood and human biological specimens, requiring theoretical and practical knowledge and expertise. This role involves complex diagnostic and analytic assessments of specimens, interpreting data with precision and accuracy. In addition, this position facilitates selected aspects of laboratory processes, including workflow management, quality control, performance improvement activities, training of new employees, and maintenance of equipment. This role assists lab leadership in meeting goals across various areas such as Team, Service, Clinical, Market, and Finance. Responsibilities for this role include conducting laboratory procedures, performing diagnostic assessments and laboratory processes, training employees, and assisting lab leadership. May require on-call hours. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs pre-analytical activities including equipment maintenance, function checks, inventory control, supply stocking, specimen collection, biological specimen processing, cleaning, and disinfection of laboratory equipment and spaces. Conducts post-analytical activities related to laboratory testing, including reporting results and providing technical support. Completes tests and analytical procedures efficiently and accurately according to established standard operating procedures. Participates in proficiency testing, adhering to federal and state regulations and institutional policies. May act as a preceptor to facilitate orientation and training to new employees and students, documenting appropriately. Requirements
