About the role
An opportunity is available for a licensed School Psychologist to support early childhood evaluations within an elementary school setting. The role focuses on conducting assessments for children aged 3 to 5 years as part of the Child Find program. This contract position offers a structured schedule and involves collaboration with educational professionals to support the developmental needs of young learners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children aged 3 to 5 years
- Utilize appropriate assessment tools and procedures consistent with early childhood psychological practices
- Document findings accurately and prepare reports to guide educational planning and interventions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to facilitate understanding of developmental needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to state licensing and ethical standards in all evaluations
Requirements
- Valid Maryland School Psychologist License
- Experience working with early childhood populations, particularly ages 3 to 5 years
- Strong assessment and report writing skills focused on psychological evaluations
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
