About the role
WSDOT’s Transportation Operations Division is seeking a skilled financial professional to support the management of its $100 million biennial operational budget.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the financial subject matter expert and liaison with AFS Office regarding accounts payable, travel, interagency payments, and work order management.
- Prepare payment vouchers and processes P-Card transactions.
- Prepare and analyze journal voucher documents and ensure that the accounting elements comply with established accounting policies, procedures, and principles.
- Process requests for Travel Advances and Travel Reimbursements in accordance with OFM and agency accounting policies and procedures.
- Develop and audit financial data for the Transportation Operations Division.
- Develop and distribute applicable budget and expenditure reports to program managers and regional analysts within the Transportation Operations Division on a daily and monthly basis, as necessary.
- Serve as the primary timekeeper for the HQ Transportation Operations Division.
- Validate, monitor, and track contracts, payable agreements, and reimbursable agreements.
- Assist HQ staff on financial and data related projects when needed.
