About the role

Check-in with the outgoing CNA at the beginning of your shift to get a report on your patients. Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed. Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. Assist patients with hygiene needs. Help the bedside nurse with tube insertions such as an NG tube, rectal tube, or catheter. Help the bedside nurse with any wound checks or dressing changes. Change bed linens, check patients’ weight, and other tasks as assigned each day.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age
  • Successful Completion of the 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course
  • Active Nurse Aide (CNA) license in good standing in Nebraska
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
