The Senior Business Analyst- Salesforce CPQ role is a crucial contributor in delivering and supporting business initiatives. They collaborate closely with athenahealth business process owners, athenaIT Product and Project Managers, other Business Systems Analysts, and Development team members. As a member of the athenaIT team, their primary focus is on processes and technologies that support business partners. Responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders, gathering requirements, system administration, demonstrating business acumen, documentation, system enhancements, solution design, testing, training, issue resolution, application configuration, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong analytical skills, with a proven track record of transforming business requirements into system and process solutions. Required qualifications include Salesforce Administrator certification, minimum 2 years Salesforce CPQ experience, 3-5 years business analysis experience, proficiency in Salesforce administration and tools like JIRA, Confluence, SOQL, SalesforceDX, VS Code, BitBucket, and Git, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Key Stakeholders to analyze, understand, and enhance employee productivity and end-user effectiveness.
- Gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements for new projects, enhancements, and production issues.
- Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce CPQ system solutions involving complex product bundles, price rules, validation rules, approval rules, document templates, etc.
- Demonstrate strong business acumen and possess in-depth knowledge of the Salesforce CPQ domain.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specs, user manuals, and JIRA stories.
- Define and implement system enhancements that align with business goals, advising on best practices and recommending process improvements.
- Work with technical teams to design solutions that meet business needs, including system specifications and workflows.
- Develop test cases and conduct unit and integration testing to ensure systems meet requirements.
- Develop, deliver, and present end-user training materials to Salesforce users.
- Research production system issues, resolve user problems, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Perform application configuration activities primarily in Salesforce and other supporting Force.com applications.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, facilitating communications and ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices, recommending improvements to enhance business efficiency.
Requirements
- Salesforce Administrator certification required.
- Minimum 2 years Salesforce CPQ experience required; Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of work experience as a business analyst or related role.
- Proficiency in Salesforce system administration, including user management, configuration, and maintenance; experience with related systems required; experience with Conga a plus.
- Knowledge of tools including JIRA, Confluence, and SOQL required.
- Experience with SalesforceDX, VS Code, BitBucket, and Git required for code check-in.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills.
- Experience working in a mix of agile and waterfall project management methodologies preferred.
- Familiarity with business operations processes and practices a plus.
- Experience in the healthcare industry beneficial.
