Responsibilities
- Support salmon, steelhead, and trout conservation efforts
- Provide sustainable recreational, tribal, and commercial opportunities
- Perform scientific, technical, and related maintenance duties
- Monitor fish behavior, health, and production
- Administer therapeutics, calculate, and administer drugs
- Clean ponds to maintain fish health
- Follow proper safety protocols for handling hazardous chemicals
- Record Keeping and Reporting
- Operation and Maintenance of Facility and Equipment
- Communication
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in fisheries technology, biology or closely allied field
- Three (3) years of education towards a Bachelor’s degree in fisheries, biology or closely allied field
- Successful completion of a fish culture program from a vocational school
- Three (3) years of experience performing a variety of fish culture duties in a hatchery
